Classes

I teach several classes in the Reclaiming Tradition. I live in the Northeast (Boston, MA) but I am willing to travel to communities anywhere across the United States.

In my attempt to further establish a Reclaiming Tradition presence in Massachusetts, particularly the Greater Boston area, I am focusing primarily on teaching the Reclaiming Core Classes. These are Reclaiming Classes which have been designated as the basic curriculum in the Reclaiming Tradition. Completion of one or more of the Core Classes may be a prerequisite for other classes.

The following is a list of the classes that I teach. Check the Calendar page for upcoming scheduled classes or Contact me to find about scheduling a class for your community. Classes are normally offered in two formats; either as a six week class that meets once a week or as a weekend intensive, typically meeting all day Saturday and half of Sunday, unless otherwise noted. The fee collected for classes are used to cover space rental, class supplies, transportation and teaching costs of teacher (with a portion of the teacher fee being placed into the Midwest Witchcamp Scholarship Fund to assist low income Witches in attending the summer intensive). Remaining funds go to the community to seed future classes, workshops, and events.

All classes are $150-$75 sliding scale* unless otherwise noted.

For information on the Reclaiming Priestess Trainings offered by Todd and Ravyn Stanfield, please go to the Priestess Training page.

Although studying and practicing the Reclaiming Tradition can be profoundly healing, Reclaiming classes are not a substitute for medical or psychiatric care. Teachers are not responsible for diagnosing illnesses or recommending treatments. The teachers' cell holds students responsible for seeking professional help if they need it.

Sacred Sexuality 101 - Reclaiming Our Birthright, Embodying the Sacred Whore

Sacred Sex

Daring to reclaim our sexuality as part of our birthright, we seek to become more fully human. This intensive course asks you to look into the mirror of your own desire and give voice to your passion. Throwing off the cultural and societal constraints which seek to shame or objectify our bodies, we open to the beauty of our own human nature. We challenge the "lie of the 'other'" that places attraction and desire with the external other. Embracing the archetype of the Sacred Whore, we place our sexuality back into the realm of the Sacred.

This class is both provocative and challenging. Willingness to take risks, respect boundaries, and move out of our comfort zone is essential. This class is open to ALL sexual/affectional orientations, gender expressions and relationship statuses.

Prerequisite: None, but previous sacred sexuality experience is preferred.
Format: weekend intensive.

The Path the Soul Walks: Tarot as the Story of Our Own Becoming

The Fool

From each moment when the Fool stands looking out at the great unknown, remembering to breathe and daring to trust, to the ever-changing Wheel where we must find that place of balance and center, to the great Cosmic Dance of the World: this is the story of becoming. In a world where a Cup can be a Holy Grail, a womb, or our heart; a Sword can be Excalibur, an idea, or a single word -- our deepest knowing emerges.

This class explores the Tarot not only as a tool of divination but as a mirror of the lights and shadows of our souls, an opening into the powers of desire, will and choice. All levels of Tarot experience are welcome -- seasoned reader, sincere novice, or anywhere in between.

Prerequisite: None, but Elements of Magic or equivalent is preferred.
Format: Weekend intensive.

Ritual Artistry

The creation of group or public rituals can be both rewarding and challenging. As an aspect of community leadership, ritual skills are often essential. This class will introduce the basics as well as the more subtle aspects of the art of ritual creation as a tool for building community. We will work through all steps in the ritual process - from setting the intention, planning within a collaborative model, manifestation of the vision, addressing the unexpected, and the role of constructive feedback. This class will be of value whether you are interested in designing effective ritual for a small coven or for the public at large.

Prerequisite: None, although Elements of Magic is preferred as well as familiarity with at least one ritual style.
Format: 6 week class or weekend intensive. Consider combining this class with a community public ritual! Ask for details.
